Description:
With the Compact Dry YM Rapid, results can be obtained faster in 48 to 72 hours of incubation. It is a simple and safe procedure for determining and quantifying microorganisms in foodstuffs, cosmetics and other raw materials, including pharmaceuticals. Compact Dry ready-to-use chromogenic plates are suitable for both in-process and final product controls.
On the chromogenic substrates of Compact Dry YMR plates, yeasts and molds show different color reactions and are therefore very easy to distinguish: the chromogenic substrate X-Phos causes a blue coloration in almost all yeasts.
Bacterial growth is inhibited by antibiotics. Thanks to the cavity of the Compact Dry plates, the molds develop their characteristic three-dimensional shape in different colors.

Mode of use:
- Remove the cover.
- Deposit 1 ml of the sample in the center of the surface of the Compact Dry plate.
- The sample is automatically and homogeneously dispersed on the film, and transforms the dry film into a gel in a few seconds.
- Replace the cover on the plate. Incubate for the prescribed time.

Removing the plates
Remove the cover
Add 1 Ml of sample
Wait for the sample to be absorbed
Put the plate down
Bring the plate in incubation
Perform reading
Interpretation of results:
Yeasts have a blue coloration. Molds form cottony colonies with characteristic colors.
Storage and shelf life:
Keep at room temperature, from 1 to 30 °C. Shelf life 12 months.
